Returning Prevention Members

A Returning Prevention Member is a member that has had a previous Prevention Appointment within CC TeleHealth and has a
CC TeleHealth membership.

The following two categories have been created for Returning Prevention Members:

  • COVID-19 Treatment for Returning Prevention Members
  • Prescription Renewals

COVID-19 Treatment For Returning Prevention Members

COVID-19 Early Treatment REVIEW with a Health Care Professional

  • This appointment type is for Returning Prevention Members that already have the protocol — medication(s)/nutraceutical(s) — ready to go, and would like to connect with a Health Care Practitioner to review any questions they may have pertaining to their prescriptions.
 

COVID-19 Early Treatment

This appointment type is for Returning Prevention Members that are 5 or less than days sick with COVID-19 and currently taking the COVID-19 “On the Shelf” Readiness Treatment Protocol at home and do not seem to be improving.


COVID-19 Complex Treatment – Returning Prevention Member

  • This appointment type is for Returning Prevention Members that are 6 days or greater and are sick with COVID-19 and currently taking the COVID-19 “On the Shelf” Readiness Treatment Protocol at home and do not seem to be improving.
 

COVID-19 Severe Treatment – Returning Prevention Member

  • This appointment type is for Returning Prevention Members that are 6 days or greater and are sick with COVID-19 and currently taking the COVID-19 “On the Shelf” Readiness Treatment Protocol at home and do not seem to be improving.  Symptoms indicate a significant deterioration in the member’s health.
  • SEVERE TREATMENT does not include conditions that require services needing face-to-face contact with a Health Care Professional, such as: treatment requiring oxygen or intravenous services to re-hydrate the body, you need to go to the local emergency department for assessment and treatment. CC TeleHealth cannot provide services to members that are considered too severe/complex

Prescription Renewal

There are two types of Prescription Renewal appointments based on the following criteria:

Prescription Renewal – Consultation 

  • Less than 6 months since prescription
  • No major change in the variants
  • A renewal with no health changes since last appointment
  • A renewal request where prescribed medication have been used
  • A renewal due to prescription expiry dates


Prescription Renewal – Health Re-Assessment

Any of the following criteria could apply for the Prescription Renewal – Health Re-Assessment:

  • Greater than 6 months since last appointment
  •  Variant protocols have changed
  • A renewal with health change since last appointment (could be less than 6 months since last appointment)

Individual Counselling
Through counselling, the process is focused on short-term goal attainment, and clients can identify, explore and obtain the tools required to optimize mental, emotional and behavioral well-being and improve functioning.

Group Peer Support
Through group support and discussion, the process is focused on identifying and understanding the current environment, and identifying, exploring and obtaining the tools required to improve mental, emotional and behavioral well-being and optimize functioning.

COVID-19 Available Health Services

Enclosed are your options for treating a COVID-19 infection. There are many things you can do on your own to reduce risk. The home treatment instructions will also help you protect yourself. 
The best protection involves access to medications that can be used both for prevention and treatment. Support through medications requires an appointment with a Health Care Practitioner (HCP). Treatment options are listed below.  Please note:  A $100 deposit is required to schedule your first appointment.
